A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest and indictment of Jeffrey Donelle Hampton, 34, Prince William County police said.

Hampton is believed to have exchanged gunfire with Michael Eugene Hawkins III, of Woodbridge, during an argument outside of the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Court in Woodbridge around 2:45 p.m. Sunday, May 21, PWC police said.

Hawkins was struck in the lower body and Hampton fled the scene, authorities said.

Hawkins' sister, Tiarra, remembered him as a fighter as he endured more than eight hours of surgery, loved ones tell Daily Voice.
